As I sat in my seat getting ready for take off, all I could think to myself was what have I done. I just said goodbye to my friends, family, and everything I know for 4 months in a foreign country, and I could not be more terrified. But at the same time I am beyond excited for what lies ahead of me. I dragged myself, a backpack, and 2 suitcases through the Florence airport, and I'm ready to hit the ground running. Although this is all uncharted territory, I'm eager to make Florence my home. And in the words of one of my best friends, I'm gonna make a memory (or 100s). Feel free to keep checking in on Wednesday's to hear about the good the bad and the ugly of my semester abroad.
Here are a few pictures from my apartment and wandering around the city the first few days. Nothing like getting lost 30 minutes from your apartment in 97 degree heat with no water am I right?
