After a week in a foreign country, I am proud to say I'm not only surviving but thriving. This city is full of life, culture, history, and fun, and I'm so glad I've met such a fun group of people to experience it with. We have roamed the streets at 3 am, seen the Duomo in the dark with no one around, visited art museums, eaten countless paninis, and bonded over finding the cheapest bottle of wine. We were able to find a free food tour that took us to some local favorite pizza, panini, bars, and gelato. I'd say the highlight of the last week was drinking a bottle of wine and watching the sun set on the Ponte de Vecchio. After one week together, we booked some travel around Europe. We have booked a trip to Croatia, Oktoberfest, Paris, Prague, Brussels, Berlin and Amsterdam. This last week has been a blur, so I can't even imagine what the rest of my semester is going to be like. I am loving every inch of this city, and it still doesn't feel real that I get to live here for 3 months. I leave tomorrow for Croatia, stay tuned for pictures and stories to come.
