Split Trip

This weekend my friends and I took a bus to Croatia. The bus ride was painfully long (12 hours to be exact), but so worth it. Split, Croatia has been on my list of places to visit for a long time now, and it 100% exceeded my expectations. After arriving, we went white water rafting in the jungle of Croatia. The drive there gave us a scenic sneak peek at the coast and mountains, and once on the river the views just continued to get better. It's fall there, so the mountains were covered in red and green trees, and every bend of the river lead to a new view of mountains, trees, or canyons. I wish I had more pictures from the raft, but obviously wasn't about to lose my phone in the water. You should've seen us all trying to get in the wet suits though, that was quite the sight. The next day we took the less adventurous path and hit the beach. The water was crystal clear and the views did not disappoint. Our small hand towels did disappoint though. Having to sit on the rock beach was not the most comfortable experience, but the water was well worth it. We waited a little too long to eat and all became very hangry very fast. After settling for an overpriced restaurant and not happy about it, we ended up eating some of the best fish I've ever tasted. We wandered the palace of Split on a full, happy stomach and saw some very cool buildings and historical locations. The trip ended on a bittersweet note when half our hostel woke up with the stomach flu and we had to bus it to the Krka National Park. Didn't enjoy listening to people puke the whole way home, but overall the entire trip was beyond worth it. 10/10 recommend going to Croatia if you ever have the chance.
